I hope that you find these useful - if you have any feedback you can email me at tmanson@thinkgeography.org.uk.  I apologise about the sound quality but was whispering so as not to wake all the kids up!  I am sure you will be able to put these on your mp3 player and get to sleep faster than ever!   I just decided to ramble and put a few thoughts down and a few reflections on the types of questions that can sometimes be asked in the exams. 

These podcasts have been written for the OLD A Level specification and I will update these later in the year.

Unit A:  Impact of Population Change

Part 1:  Natural Population Change:  Fertility, Mortality, Population Sustainability, The Demographic Transition Model (This is a long one!) 

Part 2:  A discussion of the various processes involved in migration - from mobility, measures, streams and the composition of those streams

Part 3:  The impact of migration:  Impact on population size, distribution, services, economic activity and the physical environment

Part 4:  Population policies - focus on the fertility policies in an MEDC and LEDC

 

 

Finally - a few pointers and reminders about your exam  . . . .

 

 

 

Instructions

These files are all MP3 files and should work easily on any computer or in any mp3 player or ipod.  You just need to right click on the link and then select save target as . . . and then save the file to your desktop.  You should then follow your usual process to rip the file into your MP3 player software.  I know that for itunes - all you have to do is go to file and add file to library  . . .
